Tender Co. 462 Millwheel Shirt | Pink
The dusty-pink hue of the 462 Millwheel Shirt is achieved with natural lake dye called madder - an extract from the root of rubia tinctorum, a relative of bedstraw which grows wild in southern England. The idea around the shirt design stems from rotational symmetry. Just like the WS430 Butterfly shirt, the front chest pocket is unusually tucked into the outward-facing button placket - but this time on one side only. The under-placket is sewn inwards and there is an elegant back pleat that’s in one direction only. The direction of the back pleat and the front pocket line up when rotated around the centre axis of the shirt, like the blades of a millwheel. The sleeves are pleated into false cuffs and the hem is finished in a gentle curve.
